Children come to school with a variety of learning skills. Teachers using portfolios in the classroom is very essential to the students. Teachers can observe student performance and student growth. I often use writing portfolios in the classroom to help student with their writing skills. Students often enjoy the writing portfolio because they can see how their writing have improved since the first start of school. Portfolios are an excellent tool in the classroom.
